About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Astronomers are probing the high-energy cosmic frontier with a series of key missions: Fermi, Swift, Chandra, NuSTAR, and Hubble. This video was inspired by a NASA event at the National Air and Space Museum, called "Our Violent Universe."

And there was I thinking that god did it. Wow-eee! I am as Saul on the road to Damascus ; the scales have fallen from my eyes and now I truly seee!!! Hmm, yeah. My dear cousins in the USA, don't take it personally when I pour a certain degree of scorn on your documentaries, but they are packed with the silliest language e.g. "...one of the most primitive rituals in space..." (referring to a black-hole gobbling up another one in an "act of cannibalism". I could go on, but you get the drift - nonsensical anthropocentric language that does not reflect reality with precision, and assumes that the audience is comprised of morons. Seriously - watch a documentary on any subject, with one made in USA and the other made in UK...see for yourself.
This one is not bad though...and I'd buy a 2nd-hand car from the narrator any day... -
I like these cosmos videos, and I would like them even more if there were no silly, loud drumbeats and foreground music.
