the army is gay. Bunch of sissy choir boys in that shit. Fuckin dandy's.
-
I'm not even a Dave Matthews fan, but this was a nice edit using his band's music.
I distinctly recall hearing only a segment of this song in one of the original TV trailers for the movie, but I have yet to locate that trailer. -
congratulations Somalia this is your legacy, oh and the pirates off your coast
-
Yeah, and Wasdin was really good friends with Dan Busch (the one in the movie played by Richard Tyson) as well.
-
that intresting; didn't know that. in the book seal team six by howard wasdin he talks about him i guess they became good friends before he died.

Here's one more fun fact for you. Randy Shughart, one of the two Delta snipers that died defending Mike Durant, is actually in the Ranger Hall of Fame (because of that action) because he started his career in the 75th Ranger Regiment (more specifically the 2nd Ranger Battalion [I think]). You know what's messed up lol? In the movie he has brown hair and Gary Gordon has blonde hair, but in real life it was the OTHER way around.
-
If I remember correctly, Delta's motto is actually "Let the Situation Develop" (there's also "Have a Good One" but I think that's just a saying they say to someone else (Ranger, SEAL, Force Recon, another D-Boy, etc.) about to go on a mission. ST6 has the same two mottos the "regular" SEAL teams have; "It Pay To Be a Winner" and "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday".
-
In fact, if you ever see a Soldier in dress uniform wearing a green or tan beret (the latter is worn by Rangers) and he has BOTH a Special Forces tab AND a Ranger tab, there's a SMALL chance that he's Delta (of course you won't know that for sure because Delta and ST6 "officially" do not exist) because a lot of D-Boys have went through BOTH training programs BEFORE undertaking Delta Force selection/training. They don't have to, but I think it's encouraged.
-
Yeah, kinda. Delta gets ints operators MOSTLY (you can actually come from ANY unit in the Army [as long as you have airborne training]; that's probably the defining difference between Delta and SEAL Team VI; you can't come from just anywhere in the Navy to join ST6, you have to have been a "regular" SEAL for at least five years [some exceptions have been made when it comes to combat experience, but they still have to be SEALs]) from among the Army Rangers AND Green Berets.

delta guys are tier one green berets
-
where at least i know im free

@ScottyMula Orlando Bloom (the Ranger who fell out of the helicopter) and Ewen McGregor (the Ranger who's good at making coffee) are in it. They're "A-List", now anyway. The former was Paris in "Troy" and Balian in "Kingdom of Heaven", among other things. The latter was Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episodes I-III, among other things.
-
@CIVIC170 But, I do believe in liberating the oppressed, one of the reasons I want to be a SEAL.
-
@CIVIC170 That's the Green Berets' motto. The guys in this movie are Rangers and Delta. Delta are the ones with the black helmets and civilian hairstyles. But, they do get there members from the Green Berets, as well as Rangers. I'm actually more interested in being a SEAL after the Citadel, but Army Rangers and Delta are still badass.

THIS WAS A FUCKIN AWESOM MOVIE

@binnyhoney Dig further for the truth. Don't go my popular media, they lie.

I don't know why Americans go into battles all 'gung ho' as if they're in some video game. THESE ARE REAL LIVES HERE BOYS! No video game captures that much realism. Military is just a program in the Matrix used by the 'gamers' to make us think we're being noble when what we're doing is volunteering to be a participant in their silly blood ritualistic games. Yeah, lots of blood for their gods.

Thanks you all...scared.
