@42:30 -- "because God is being itself..."
how do we get here?
how is God being itself?
is this a brute fact?
@ 46:07 -- "you're sort of at the, beyond the boundaries of where language can go ..."
amen!!
so, lets leave it there: natural sciences may not be able to explain itself, and, perhaps then we cannot go beyond that; so, talk about any god is beyond our ken--at least at this time. -
Lots of good science and logic that mysteriously was thrown out the window by a leap of Faith that Reality must exist because "God did it." Of course the Muslim philosophers and Physicists would recite the exact same scientific explanations and come to the illogical conclusion that "Allah did it."
Religious indoctrination can affect even very intelligent and otherwise sane people to come to false conclusions because of the real effects of the "power of belief" in the subconscious mind. Neuroscience now can explain and understand the process but it may be many decades before we discover a cure for religious indoctrination syndrome. Peace -
"Is 'God' Explanatory?"
Just having to ask that question raises an eyebrow.
