The smallest shift? Uh, Earth changes 3 million miles in distance from the sun over the year. That's like 12 times the distance from the earth to the moon every year. Smallest shift my ass. We know for a fact that our Goldilocks zone is at least 3 MILLION miles wide.

LIGO's gravitational wave can't prove Einstein's general relativity. First, Einstein predicted "invisible ripples in spacetime" /gravitational wave come from "two celestial bodies in orbit", not two black hole collide/merger. Einstein didn’t believe in black hole. Two celestial bodies in orbit and collide are quite different.
Second, new finding you don’t know before, Einstein proving method for hypothesis “deflection of light by the Sun” isn’t scientific and deeply wrong. Einstein theory of gravity is wrong ( Book: "Albert Einstein Failed In Three Classical Tests")
Chance to test general relativity in 2017 eclipse in USA, with the astronomical scientific method. It is easy and not costly, just by sextant to measure the altitude of stars and look at the 2017 Nautical Almanac to find deviation of the star. In this event of 2017 eclipse, the bright star Regulus meet Einstein prediction “.. for the stars observed being the closest to the Sun, their deviation was about 1.75 seconds of an arc.” -

Before and after LIGO there's no such thing as gravity / gravitational pull within our universe is zero and there's visible proof. Yes , there's visible motion's of object's coming together by electricity which is wrongly labeled as gravity. Nasa's measurement's of earth's gravity is actualy measurement's of our atmosphere.
