Bailter Space - X - Live at Bodega, Wellington, 2003
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Well, not technically Bailter Space, but Alister Parker and Friends, but considering the criminal lack of Live Bailter Space footage on youtube, i thought I should add this. Gary Sullivan on drums and Noel Ward on bass. This was sometime mid-late 2003

+bobbylockes first electric guitar? We did manage to evolve out of the stone or stoned age, (unlike some others here on YT)
there are a lot of good bands that have come out of here, overall, probably better than most of the dirge emanating from overseas. sometimes Quality is better than quantity -
fuck i love bailter space

is this footage of the first electric guitar in new zealand ?

Ahhh...the good old days when they used to play live on a regular basis all over Chch.We were blessed,Life was great, really grand.Modern music seems to have lost the way.Cant live in the past but it sure is good to remember. Thanks to all the people who managed to record this music. You have done a great service to humanity

great stuff! rock star ID, that's noel ward on bass. I always knew he liked bailterspace, but playing with them?! you lucky bugger, noel.

Thanks for adding this, so underrated.

there is a large amount of FN now availble on youtube along with the official DVD releases. Roger is back in charge at the nunnery and I know his plan is to still release new bands but preserve the back catalogue and ensure that it survives as a huge legacy of NZ culture.

So freaken cool!

Yup, criminal is just about the word for the lack of live footage for them and for most Kiwi bands thru the 80s and even 90s think of all the iconic FN bands and lovely others who played month after month, and all gone into the ether. I say as much in my posting of The Bats May 2009, in London this year substituted wilful for the above in the end and presumably comes down to ongoing cultural cringe. Anyway, top posting here thanks very much, excellent sound, keep em coming.

alright already ;) will upload another one this weekend...

I have several more songs actually, I am overseas and away from the footage till a bit later in the year, but plan to upload another couple of tracks in a few months.. chur

Thanks! I remember this gig being advertised, but I couldn't make it so it's great to see it now. There is a criminal lack of footage available! If I could upload my memory of them playing at Warners in Chch in 97 (?) I would as that was earth-shattering. Remarkably languid camera work for such an exciting event! Do you have any more footage?
