Basic, yet extraordinarily helpful video, for people that want to get into astrophotography but don't know much about it.
Nicely done Tim. -
ED is Not a triplet lens. APO is triplet just saying. Nice vid.

I like your videos. You're an honest guy. Very useful for low budget guys. This market is flooded with guys using huge costly equipment. I like to follow people who accomplish things without taking out loans. Enjoy your work.

Thank you for this tutorial. I was wondering how to use a camera with a refracting telescope. Thank you.

Hello Tim; I enjoyed viewing your getting started in Astrophotography video. My questions relate to the Modern Photonics adapter you used with your micro four thirds camera. I also use a micro four thirds camera and have had trouble finding the Modern Photonics adapters you use. I am especially interested 48mm clear filter part # T2 FLT. I can source the t adapter and extension tube but can't find the filter on line anywhere. I would appreciate any help you could provide in sourcing these products.

Hi all, I too have just started out into the field of astrophotography and have just purchased a 6"Saxon Mak caasegrain and a deep space specially adapted camera that has had its light gathering ability greatly improved.
I understand that by putting a Barlow lens onto the camera can improve that magnification quite a bit.
I have an AZGO To tripod and figure on starting with something I can really see like the moon, and being new am interested if I need to collamate the scope before starting.
However I have not seen much concerning this job and wish to know more.
I was told that this. Type of scope rarely go need that sort of attention other than if they are banged quite hard or dropped, I wonder just how factual this is
Would be glad to see any video dealing with this subject

I don't need a field flattener with this 80mm Refractor
-
