Methane! Maybe we could fart our way to Mars. But I'd rather do the moon first. It's 3 days away in case of emergency.

It's an old concept called the Mars-Cycler.

Satellite internet and RTG+batteries in the basement, whatever it take to keep the show live.

There will be no Martian plague unless humans design it. Great show! 🙋

Musk's trip to Mars is 80-90 days at 120,000 miles per hour.

Reentry from Mars for Hohmann transfer is about 11.5 - 12km/s. If you want to get home in 6 months it can become 18 km/s depending on orbital alignment (can be as low as 12km/s on the good opportunities).
This is a fun tool to play with: https://trajbrowser.arc.nasa.gov/index.php -
lets try to crawl on the Moon Before we try to run on mars it saddens me when people believe this Dream could be a reality tomorrow going to mars is a one way ticket to death human will not have the technology for another 100 years to try anything like living on mars

Regarding what Pamely is saying about the marsian plegue threat: As far as I know it's viruses that are quite specific. Bacteria, however, is not so much. Nevertheless, it is very unlikely that the marsian plegue will infect us, because it was not designed to do so. And if it would, we know alot about the human which gives us a good chance to counter that.
