click around to get past video freeze glitch: (sometimes it takes a few clicks, so click AROUND where you're trying to get to a few times, THEN click the time you want. Yeah, it's weird.) 0:32 1:03 1:19 59:59 01:09:11 01:09:48 69:00 68:30 One of the last lectures of the semester from the (WONDERFUL) class "Physics for Future Presidents" class at UC Berkeley. The class is taught by Richard Muller, but this lecture is from Bob Jacobsen, who is also a great lecturer (and has appeared on at least one episode of Mythbusters, yeah!). This is from Spring 2009: http://webcast.berkeley.edu/courses.php?semesterid=2009-B This is lecture #31: http://webcast.berkeley.edu/course_details_new.php?seriesid=2009-B-51905|2009-B-69390&semesterid=2009-B But there are several versions of this course going back for the past several years. One of the earlier semesters is on YouTube in its entirety: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=095393D5B42B2266 See also http://webcast.berkeley.edu for THOUSANDS of lectures from HUNDREDS of classes, as well as other events. They have more than just science stuff, but that just happens to be what interests me the most. why are there so many dislikes? This lecture was great! so full of information
-
professor jacobson!!...? you da man!!! i have seen this lecture 40 times i figure. dang it I cannot find any other lectures that you have done. I commented because you have to know that whomever put all the dislikes is NUTTY! probably a creationist ploy. change that to most definitely. do not take it personally whatever you do. as if. thanks! p.s. I think i am going to go back to school and learn how to explain cosmology to the creationists untill they scream. as if.

Did I hear him say the age of the universe - at about 1:05 - is about 15 trillion years, rather than the accepted age of about 13.7 billion years?
-
Sending out the pioneer was a pretty stupid idea.
-

Pluto never matters anymore... :(

Mr Ape, you have my greatest respect/ However this guy is very long-winded. Try watch?v=Z8BncJ7XMLk - watch it and weep tears of joy.

Intro to Physics part 2. He's a very funny guy.
-
It freezes, but you can skip ahead after the glitch
-
YOU CAN JUST SKIP AHEAD
-
yea, it still isn't quite perfect... at 30 seconds and another one a little after a min, and i had a couple more times after that. since its such a long video its hard to skip without missing a lot of content. :(

I found it, under Introductory Physics, May 5.

Hey RabidApe, the video only plays for 30 seconds and stops. i can't find the link for the direct webcast from berkley. the link to the right just shows the available webcasts, not this specific one.
-
yes, its working fine now, thx. i guess im just a little too impatient =D
-
Dawm, it take me like half an hour to upload a video that is 9:00. I can only image how long it would take to upload these. Thanks for uploading these.
-
I just took Prof. Jacobsen's final haha.
-
long videos have long process times in my experience here on the toob. I have been following the physics lectures from Stanford here on youtube for a while.
-
So the quality of this lectures a bit bad - who cares? it's the audio that counts.
-
im not sure if its just me, but your videos always seem glitchy... i cant really watch the video...
