Presented by http://collectSPACE.com -- The Source for Space History and Artifacts. When Dr. Don Pettit lived aboard the International Space Station in 2002, he became known for his "Saturday Morning Science" sessions, during which he would demonstrate really cool, simple microgravity experiments. Earlier this month, Pettit returned to space, this time as member of space shuttle Endeavour's crew on a mission to upgrade the outpost. After 10 days of hard work, the STS-126 crew got some time off Sunday morning and Pettit took the opportunity to film a special episode of Saturday, err, Sunday Morning Science. In his video, which he later narrated for Mission Control, Dr. Pettit demonstrated his take on a zero-gravity coffee cup... For more, see: http://collectspace.com/pettit_coffeecup

" Nice expirement " The none flowing coffee in the cup is not well explained saying the cause is from surface tension which is secondery to this expirement. Liquid's/water do not flow when in a falling motion, the space ship is in a falling motion causing that coffee to lock onto that cup same as our ocean's are locked onto the earth because of it's falling motion through space. falling motion of water/ liquid's take's away it's flow. Toss up a cup of water and see no flow, if water has a flow within it's falling motion there wouldn't be any rain drops, it would all be sheet's of water coming down. Visit YOUTUBE SUNLIGHT ELECTRO RAY'S visible showing planetary orbit's powered by sunlight energy not gravity lol .

Now that would be an interesting thing to put in a movie. Guy comes in.. sits next to a lunatic at starbucks who is railing about space aliens being among us. The customer starts conversing with him calmly telling him and the audience that it's nonsense to think that way.. all while drinking out of a cup shaped like this.

This is supposed to be coffee??? Poor astronauts. We could at least give them good strong black coffee when they leave earth could we not? WTF NASA!!! Vote now #ProperCoffeeForAstronauts
