Hopefully none of them will include "long pig" as shown in the illustration. If they do I will probably have to find a new archaeologist to annoy since you'll likely be behind bars. Best of luck, I hope you'll take care that all ingredients are well within their "Use By" dates, although that might prove a bit tricky depending on how many have to be excavated.

I'm looking forward to this. I've always wondered what cooking was like before discovery of the Americas. I'm so addicted to things like chiles (peppers), tomatoes, potatoes, corn, vanilla, chocolate and turkey. Ok: there were lots of other birds to eat, but no salsa? No corn or potatoes? No chocolate or vanilla? Those poor people. :)
