you are full of shit!!!! saying that God did not took time to let us know exactly what it is contradicts the Bible and God Himself!!! Like i hear all the time that in Genesis one day is like a million :D come guys READ the Bible because God says: 'And the evening and the morning were the second day' Stop spreading false teachings!!! Guys READ the Bible since God is straight forward in what He says! Also God never lies and could not say a lie through omission or misleading!!! Genesis tells us exactly what was made and how was made, you guys here try to interpret your own version of IT! God bless!

The ancient israelites read the Genesis account literally because that is how they undeestoos the cosmos. We must not impose our own presuppositions and wordview on what is an ancient cosmology. the Theological message derived from genesis is as valid today as it was when it was written even though our cosmology is different to theirs.

cosmology has come a long way.

There is a dome above the Earth.. But I don't think it is as simple as presented here (though this is based more on a basic interpretation of scripture). I think there maybe more than one dome above us. I think they may have broken threw the first dome above us, but not the outer dome.

So, seems like Jonah died and went to Sheol temporarily?
-
cool video!
-
Great video until the end when the narrator implies that the Bible is wrong about the flat earth and the dome. Do more research on the subject and you will find a surprise! The bible is right and so called science has let us astray about the earth being a globe. Have you ever seen this globe, apart from what is presented in the classrooms and NASA picture? There aer many who are finding out the truth about the earth and the firmament. Read the resuarch that has been done on this subject. God is right!

Quite funny how the narrator says God inspired scripture as opposed to Yahweh being part of the ancient Hebrew worldview, directly connected to the incorrect cosmology.
-
Just so I am clear - is this presentation suggesting that the God of all truth allowed those whom he inspired to write scripture to remain ignorant on the cosmology of the world? That would certainly make God just like us, in that the truth of a matter isn't always a priority. That is wholly contary to the very definition of God, which throws the entirety of his word into doubt.

hey mike, I love your divine council work, but I don't see how the verses in this video automatically mean that the ancient isrealites believed the world was as the graphics in this video showed. The verses don't seem to negate different interpretations. I hope you don't go to far into proving the bible depicts the earth in such a way. the divine council stuff is more important and I don't believe the bible does actually depict the earth this way as a laymen theologian.

Do you think evolution is compatible with the bible?

Woow. New intro. Looks nice

Thanks

why couldnt the world in which we live be the way it is described in scripture? Because monkey man science say it isnt? it doesnt take a lot of research to realize there is no proof of the universe science teaches........i take God word as perfect......and i take mans/worlds word as error

Mike: Are you saying that the author of Genesis 1 was incorrect regarding waters above the expanse? That's a problem, because it says that we cannot trust the Scripture when it says, "Thus saith the Lord." Either God said it and he was correct, or God said it and he was wrong, or else the author of Scripture was wrong about what God said. Without delving too deep into the Mosaic authorship of Genesis, the fact is that Moses is considered a prophet. If he erred in what God said, then he was a false prophet. So, assuming Mosaic authorship, either there is water above the expanse (not physically impossible), or God was wrong (metaphysically impossible), or Moses was a false prophet by the standards of the OT. If we say that Moses was not the author, and that the author misrepresented God's own words, then we have other serious theological and practical issues I won't get into except to say that the Torah is then pseudoepigraphical and misrepresents God's words.

Just received "The Unseen Realm" yesterday. Looking forward to diving in! I appreciate your work. I am so aggravated at myself for what I have missed in the Word all these years. This video is just one example of what we gloss over. I don't think I have enough time left to get up to speed, but I'm going to have fun trying. I do believe that part of this has been God's choice to conceal, but now the time is right for Him to reveal more to those who are seeking with open eyes and ears. Proverbs 25:2 "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter."
