Great video!! Question, what camera would you recommend now, 4 years later, that would be similarly priced or perhaps a little less?
-
I did when I bought the tec140 refractor and then I bought the cgem it was to light
-
Inspiring images Terry

What is your main issue with the Schmitt Cassegrain fork mount design? I know that it is impossible to mount a camera to photograph M81 and M82, or any other high latitude object because the fork mount interferes, but what are some of your other objections?

I might be able to get a good price(400,00) on a Celestron CG-5GT. Max payload 35lbs. my max equipment weight is 23lbs (incl ccd camera, ota, mounting brackets, 2 cables, ) Is there any reason why this wouldn't be a descent, new guy set up for DSO also? (I have an 8" OTA, f5.9)

Hi Terry
Would like to do a one on one session. Not very good at dust picking processing and also star color star processing. -
Hi Terry I have sunk all my money into my mount an NEQ6 pro so I've only got an achro 120mm any advice on a filter for CA
Thanks BJ -
Oh, that's cool. I use a 70mm refractor and an iPhone, lol.

It is truly remarkable what you do with only 10-12" RC instruments!

Hi Terry, Thanks for sharing you great work. I built an observatory 14 years ago but had to move and use my telescope outside, but it was great and exciting also watching the meteor showers, I don't do any now as i live in sheltered housing with light pollution, I'm 82 years old and have trouble standing but I still look with telephoto lens. Many Thanks again,Dark sky's.(UK)
