Tell me, what is your favorite thing with this version compared to the non-enhanced one." Ironclaw: "Well, there's a couple, like the driving part at 32:09, it was WAY easier than the 'impossible-without-some-sort-of-"aid"' part in the normal version. But my favorite improvement was the gambling part. I could hack/tinker/rig the machine so I won every time. This saved me so much time and frustration (unlike the normal version)" Guy: "Did you encounter any problems playing/recording this game?" Ironclaw: "Yeah... it has graphic glitches and nothing I did could fix them. I tried running with different emulated Amigas, different settings, from floppy, from HD, SPS, ADF and WHDLoad version, it was the same in all of them. The game also crashed in a few places and I had to load the save with another version of the game to continue, but then eventually it would crash again and I had to switch versions again. First crash occurred when I left the first planet, the screen went all messy and the emulator switched to NTSC for some reason. In another case the screen was intact but moved far to the left so only half the screen showed, another one was just instant crash to Guru Meditation. One more was when throwing the water at the beast: http://tinyurl.com/ncej3do. Hopefully all the edits I had to do is not that noticeable. Weird it says version 1.005 in the crash message but 1.000 when checking the about thingy in the game. Maybe it's two different things, as it says "SCI Version" in the crash message but not in the about. Oh well." Guy: "You mentioned earlier when we had lunch... something about speed issues, yet you didn't include that in your previous answer, why?" Ironclaw: "Oh, right... yes, the game runs REALLY slow on a stock A500, pretty slow on a stock A1200. I played on a boosted A1200 with +300% CPU speed boost which still had the game running pretty slow in many places. There were no speed differences after +100%, but used 300 as it at least loaded the next screens/content faster. I read a comment on this game from someone over at Lemon Amiga that said this game has serious speed issues and isn't really playable on anything below 68030, or something like that. So yeah, this game probably runs like crap for most who've tried it. Upping the speed to max in the options didn't do much good." Guy: "I have no further questions, so if there's anything else you would like to tell the audience, go ahead." Ironclaw: "I'm leaving the bar at 40:40, even though I have more stuff to do in there, to return right after. The reason for this is that I have to wait for the dude by the gambling machine to die, which takes about 1 minute, so, during this time I thought it would be nice to have another band playing. Now, the reason I had to wait for him to die is so I could show the girl. It appears she ONLY shows up if the dude is dead. So, I exit and enter again for the girl to pop up, then I continue with the game, as what I just did wasn't necessary to finish the game. At 46:31 I wait for her to show all here moves before I move along. This guy's second speech bubble automatically skips to the next and I had no control over it: 01:12:12. I remember there being 3 speech bubbles in a row skipping by too fast somewhere, but forgot where. I had no control over them either. Seems you get different amount of time depending on how fast the system running the game is. With a stock A500, the timer in the beginning starts from 30:00 minutes, but with the one I recorded with I got 15:00. Yet, they don't count at the same speed, the 30:00 on a stock A500 is like twice as slow as the 15:00 one, so they might as well just have kept 15 mins for both scenarios. But it's nice if this is an intended game design to help those with slower Amigas, so they will have enough time. But with the time I got there was plenty left when I left the planet. A game like this has many nicely animated death... animations which I wish I bothered to record."
