Americans are stupid and proud of it! (part 13) Jay Leno - Jaywalking
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Jaywalking: A pre-recorded segment, "Jaywalking" is a play on the host's name and the illegal practice of jaywalking. Up to 15 people are interviewed in an hour or less for each segment, with about nine interviews used on the air. Leno asks people questions about current news and other topics in public areas around Los Angeles (usually Hollywood Boulevard, Melrose Avenue or Universal Studios). Most responses are outrageously incorrect; for example, one person believed that Abraham Lincoln was the first president, and another could not identify a picture of Hillary Clinton. Sometimes the questions are of the "What color is the White House?" level, such as asking in what country the Panama Canal is located. Not only has Howard Stern stated that the segment was lifted directly from his radio show, but there is recorded proof that Stern did the bit long before Leno ever did.)

Americans are not only dumb they are ugly as fuck

The 'Declaration of Independence' wasn't legally recognised by their Government of Great Britain until 1783. 04/07/1776 is a meaningless date.
-
everyone should know who fought in the civil war.... come on.... I l must have been in 4th grade when we started learning that.
-
Independence day is a nation's birthday. Should it be a nation's debut?

New law: If you don't know what the 4th of July means, you have to leave the country.
-
Americans have been trained to be lazy and lack curiosity, its much easier to govern and lie to an ignorant (not the same as stupid) population .
-
Personally, I don't think hearing "Civil War" and thinking "Revolutionary War" is an error of knowledge, per se, but an error in hearing. Perfectly understandable, especially if previous questions might have been about the Revolutionary War.
