The laughing is too loud and used too often. This isn't an episode of big bang theory for God sake.

I don't suppose anyone has any idea what the choir was singing at the end of the video? That was an interesting song, and I've been curious to know more about Welsh harmony since a book I read a few months ago.

I notice in a lot of interviews, you can see it sort of jump a few seconds, and it makes you wonder what they cut out, especially when it's between a question and an answer. And then there are a few times, when he's asked a last ridiculous question, and then suddenly it jumps to him doing his "wrap up" piece, and the guy is looking at him with a grin on their face, makes me wonder if the guy finally got up and said "look, this is a joke interview here, you're pulling my leg" (maybe even recognizes Cohen?), and so he cuts the act, gets them to sit for a few moments while he wraps the interview up. Because the way some of them are smiling at the end makes me think of someone who's just been let in on a big joke, who now understands that he's just doing a ridiculous act, that he's not really an idiot. The same kind of smile on my face when I'm watching him, really.
Like look at the end of the one with Tony Blair, the old politician with the pipe (I really liked that guy, very strong, intelligent man, I'd say, refused to believe that Ali could possibly be that stupid, and kept assuming he was trying to make valid arguments...wouldn't be reeled in at all), anyway, they go through this whole thing, getting quite hot at times, but then suddenly, he's ending the interview, and look at how the guy is smiling suddenly (1:24:00 or so)...I think perhaps Ali told him it was just a joke or something, because his whole manner seems changed all of a sudden, and he's not looking at his behavior and speech when he's talking to the audience with the same distaste he did at the beginning...he's smiling, laughing a little, when you'd expect him to be even less happy with Ali then when before the interview began. -
I swear that I've heard a lot of that exact dialogue with the Bishop in another episode...I mean, what are the odds that two religious men would answer "God is sort of Jesus-shaped" independently, and then Ali follows up by saying "...so he's just chilled since then?" If anything could make me wonder how real these interviews are, it'd be that. Just seems strange.

Damn, that laugh track is annoying. It makes it hard to even hear half of what he's saying; it's hard enough to understand English accents when they're slurring their words and using slang terms as it is, without canned laughter overwhelming their voices at the same time.
I love how he does those lame-ass attempts at break dancing in the intros, like he's hot shit. I must say, he's got a point when it comes to females on a jury "when the painter's in"...that's a scary thought!
He breaks character when the lady is trying to teach him Welsh. He even cracks up. And I think he was serious when he tells the Lord "I wish I'd had you as a teacher when I was younger; I wouldn't have turned out like 'dis". I think Sacha is trying to say he approves of the guy and his ideas, saying that if there were more teachers like him, less kids would grow up as idiots.
I notice he keeps smiling when he's talking to Prof. Hans Wulf, about the smallest thing in the universe. I always wondered how he kept a straight face, but apparently he's not always successful. Hopefully the interviewee doesn't notice, because it's a lot more effective when he keeps a straight face, like he's totally serious. -
