African Gods - Amma & The Nommos (Dogon Peoples Mali West Africa)
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Amma, also called Amen, the supreme creator god in the religion of the Dogon people of West Africa.Although commonly referred to as male, Amma is considered to symbolize both male and female principles and, as a result, is more properly characterized as genderless or as being of dual gender. This dual aspect of Amma’s character is consistent with the broader cosmological principles of duality and the pairing of opposites that are expressed symbolically in all facets of Dogon religion and culture. This is what happens... most Black men who are Afrocentric make a huge mistake on claiming to be of Egyptian background, or they put more important on the Egyptian culture to the point that a large part of the antique Egyptian religion has become common knowledge among most African Americans, and the problem its that by disregarding their West African heritage they cause a gap, a gap that cause a disconnection to their real heritage which its their West African heritage, and by doing so they don't connect to them self. That disconnection its the difference between White and Black people, for the fact that White people know their background and they connect to it, while most of Black people in America don't, that disconnection causes a intellectual difference, a disharmony within the person, lack of knowledge, and its the mane reason why Black people in America act the way they act in comparison whit tribe African men who display a more calm behavior. Rather than talking about North African religions, they should connect with their West African culture in order to reverse the effect of all the thing that happen.. and to connect back with them self, with who they are within... which is what cunts in this life, and the other.

I never heard it this way; it sounds like it's fused with a patriarchal agenda and blashphemy of the serpeant, but I conmend you, because these stories need to be acknowledged and heard, because you never know what new things you may hear or grasp. The line about circumsion hit home, and makes complete since. I just recently started researching circumsion, and why it's done..I don't know for sure of what my man said about it is true, but I feel that it is true and logical, even if metaphoric. I say that, because black people feel more than they know. Our melanin connects with mother earth, and our surroundings. You can debunk Jesus to the core, but black people will still have faith. How do we remove the white image of Jesus, without attempting the impossible task of removing their faith.
