Wonder what kind of cash for this? What kind of system to run ac, washer, dryer, etc., in a 800-1,000 sq. ft. cabin? Using mini appliances, etc.......Trying to learn about this....I wonder if there are any good books written on all of this?
-
Nice, besides the fact utilities are backtracking big time, should be thinking about going off-grid, now...
-
they just cost a fortune!
-
Wow that looks like a fire waiting to happen!
-
like to get a quote for a 4000 sq.ft home in the Pacific Northwest area
-
Do you service Louisiana?
-
You actually have power outages in the US?
-
what do you think of the Schneider electric stuff your opinion
-
what about the prise $$$$$ TO EXPENSIVE.......OR NOT
-
Can it survive 200 MPH winds?
NO.
Of course you didn't think about that.
I don't even think your panels could handle 80 - 100 MPH winds.
Your entire investment would be destroyed in a matter of minutes. -
the batteries are closed?!
-
can or does a hybrid solar/wind/gasoline generator system exist?
-
Boy, would I like to have a system like that! My
MIL and I are thinking about getting a system
large enough to run a 2K square foot home. Our
power bills are high here in Florida so it just
makes good sense to use the sun to power our
home. Trouble is, how do we find an honest
solar contractor here that won't rip us off.
Many of the companies here have been busted
for either scamming senior citizens like us or
charging massive prices for shoddy workmanship. Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer in Central Florida? -
@engineer775 Practical Preppers With this system and batteries i think you could go off grid completely BUT ALSO with your system,if you still kept on grid but fed all the solar panels into numerous GridTie Inverters you would then not have the expense of all the batteries to lay out and with 8100w, i think you could still dramatically power your house virtually for free but he only drawback is at night you would not have any power stored.
I am new to solar is what ive said correct, have i got the general idea of it?
Im still at entry level, just bought grid tie inverter, solar panels next -
Remember every one, the place to start buying a solar system is to simply green up your home and your personal and professional lifestyle to use less energy........................

I had no idea.

alot of expense for that one possible time that the power might go down. I've been living in my place for 28n years without any downtime.

amazing 8100 watt, good job

Do NOT let the high cost fool you I am purchasing an 8,000watt system for about 25,000$ Sure, that's the price of a low cost new car. But guess what? Our electric bill is about 400$ a month. With the energy savings we have calculated it will bottom our bill to almost nothing with the sole exception of the electrical tariff, which is a lousy 20$ a month. So just figure, we will have no electric bill, can use that money to pay off the panels at the exact same rate and then be making money hand over fist as soon as it's paid up! At our current rate it should be paid totally off within 7 years! I'm just going to use what I'd be spending on the electric bill to pay off the panels and then sit back and enjoy the savings! Can't wait!
