Bumblebees fly, lights turn on, and you can ride a bike without falling over. We all know these things to be true, but what you may not know is the real reason behind why they work. Join Olivia to bust seven myths about motion. Falling and missing the ground. Nice Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy reference!
A shame I didn't find any comment on that :( -
I like sci show but you make it unwatchable.
-
Wait. Are you telling me astronauts miss the ground to fly?
Douglas Adams was right after all. -
Two things:
1. Bees have four wings
2. Contrary to what this video might indicate, dropping or throwing pennies off rooves is VERY VERY DANEROUS! No joke!
Agreed that the pennies reach a terminal velocity but that's fast enough to cause some serious injury and far more than just a flick on the head!! -
According to all known laws of aviation, there's no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.

I knew everything in this video thanks to a high school physics class and a high school aerospace engineering class
-
How about how motion is a lie?
-
all the negative comments are about her looks. seriously chill out I bet all the downvotes are just people pissed off that she doesn't meet their attractiveness standards which is bullshit. she's a great host and deserves as much respect as any of the men
-
omg I can't stand the nose ring .... please take it out and show some respect... or just live in Russia where stumped is a norm

Olivia's kinda cute

Worst. Host. Ever.
Almost makes me unsubscribe this great channel -
Here is a question for SciShow: What is sugar made from today?
-
The metal does distract. As others said, it does not invalidate the info, but it isn't as professional. Maybe 20 years from now, torn clothes, multiple piercings, creative hair (mohawks, spikes, etc.) and tattoos all over the person will be "professional", but they aren't yet. And she is acting as spokesperson for this YouTube channel, which should require a certain amount of professionalism to be taken seriously.

The one with the electrons was definitely a misconception i had

number 7 proves why the gravity concept is old and outdated.
-
we may have to one day let the gravity concept go and come up with something more realistic and not all over the place.
-
we do not know the universe is expanding this is a myth.
