5mW Green laser at night - SUPER BRIGHT!

It's even brighter when you see it with your own eyes! A lot of people are asking me if this really is 5 mW. It is specified as 5 mW, but as it is rather cheap it may be a little bit higher than that. I can't say for sure, as I don't have the equipment to measure it. It is not pot modded, though. I find it funny that in Egypt, thousands of protesters aimed laser pointers at planes- helicopters ect. with nothing happening. "1996 to July 1999, the FAA's Western-Pacific Region identified more than 150 incidents in which low-flying aircraft were illuminated by lasers" - "An FAA spokeswoman said there were 148 laser attacks on aircraft in the U.S. from January 1, 2009 to February 23, 2009" ..none wrecked and i don't know any that ever has. Its seem to me that this notion of shit falling out of the sky is a little overboard as always. Blatently imparing a pilots vision while he or she is comeing in for a landing with a direct full frontal assault (lol) is the only way i see any ill effects or discomfort from low wattage laser users. But with all that being said i fully support any dipshit that does that kind of shit i mentioned blatently, to be kicked in the teeth with a steel toed boot because its completely uncalled for and who knows,you might be the first to get a murder sentence out of being ignorant.

Weird how all people here are complaining on their lasers and that this one is much more powerful. I see mine even brighter and that's normal nights when it's not to foggy. It's all about the diode inside. Mine might be a bit overspec. But that seems unlikely as I got it from MiniInTheBox

an ebay auction is using your video to sell their laser, 5mw isn't this bright, it's usually a lie to sell 10-20mw ones and get away with it

Some of the Chinese lasers may be a little above the mW stated, but no way as much as you're saying.

yes it is i have a 5mw green laser and i see the beam.make sure its really dark and there are no streetlights and what not around

It's foggy! The laser is seen more clearly since it hits water particles.

Do batteries really make much of a difference? I have regular panasonic batteries in mine and I can slightly see the laser, if I put expensive high power energizer batteries in them would it make much of a difference on how bright the beam is? Thank You.
