This episode is brought to you by Squarespace: http://www.squarespace.com/physicsgirl 5 of the most unusual, amazing and interesting stars we've discovered in our universe. Red giants, supernovas, hybrid stars, orbiting binaries, large stars, old stars, small stars, we've discovered thousands of stars within our milky way galaxy. Astronomers use incredible tools to figure out the characteristics of a star. These are 5 of the most amazing stars we've ever discovered in our galaxy. http://physicsgirl.org/ http://twitter.com/thephysisgirl http://facebook.com/thephysicsgirl http://instagram.com/thephysicsgirl Help us translate our videos! http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?c=UC7DdEm33SyaTDtWYGO2CwdA&tab=2 Host/writer: Dianna Cowern Editor: Jabril Ashe - sefdstuff.com/science Graphics: NASA/Goddard Space Engine - http://en.spaceengine.org Music: APM and YouTube

Is that in Space Engine? Cause it sure looks like space engine to me!

She's hot
-
"It's not the brightest, nor most massive, nor hottest known star." Accurate description of me.

Serious question: how do they know all this stuff? Physics has become theoretical in every way, and should be recognized as pseudo science. Unproven nonsense. All concepts, no experimentation or explanation of the mechanism behind it, they just cling to the Big God Gravity and the Big Bang ever expanding universe. Yet, we can't get cell service in tunnels, these bozos at NASA are out weighing "planets and stars", and unraveling their origins millions of miles away!? I call bs on this one. View a star for yourself through a telescope or long zoom camera, you'll see the truth, then research electric universe... Have a great day

"it's nor the brightest, nor most massive, nor hottest ..." - wait, are you talking about me?
-
Couldnt it be that J1311 is already alone for ages, but we dont know since light emitted after its co-star died hasn't reached us yet?
-
How does a neutron star migrate to the core of a companion star without consuming the companion star and collapsing into a black hole?
-
a shot of whiskey every time she says heavy metal!
-
were else could you discover stars?
-
ugh, loves science and is gorgeous...... I WANT
-
I don't which is more beautiful. Physicsgirl or the stars?
-
UY Scuti is a red hypergiant, not a red giant.
-
English isn't my main language, but I keep watching this. I don't understand everything. But it's so interesting. I love science <3
-
How many is a lightyear?
-
wat!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
i just love watching her videos!
-
how are we able to tell there's uranium in a star? and other metals? To tell their age and what not.
-
NASA is a blackhole that takes in your tax dollars and puts out crappy CGI.
-
hey physics girl will you answer my question??
