Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 (Thus Spoke Zarathustra or Thus Spake Zarathustra) is a tone poem by Richard Strauss, composed in 1896 and inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophical novel of the same name. The composer conducted its first performance on 27 November 1896 in Frankfurt. A typical performance lasts half an hour. The work has been part of the classical repertoire since its first performance in 1896. The initial fanfare – titled "Sunrise" in the composer's program notes– became particularly well-known after its use in Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Thinking about the fact that at some point, this didn't exist, and then one day someone thought it into existence always amazes me. I know this can apply to any music, but I always think about it when I hear this.

If Trump wins tomorrow, I will bring a skateboard or something to school on Wednesday and blast this song as I roll into class in the position that you see metal singers in as they slide across the stage on their knees, WHILE wearing a shit-ton of Trump memorabilia and with an American flag behind me, with my arms raised up and with the devil horn hand signals, and my head tipped all the way back, my eyes closed in a blissful expression.
