2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY - RARE CONCERT OUTTAKE
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Orchestra plays Also Sprach Zarathustra by Strauss. Shockingly for a world-class philharmonic orchestra, if you listen carefully some of the horn section appears to be very slightly off-key. (Apologies to the real orchestra. Bravo to the school orchestra! Encore!)

This was actually an experimental instrument swap. Hilarious result though! The first thing I'm doing at band camp this year is showing this to my school band director :D
-
Really?! This was an outtake?! I couldn't tell the difference from the original.
-
This is so professionally bad, it's marketable. I would buy the CD.

They actually had musicians use instruments they had never used. I wish we could do this in school lol
-
some day, i hope to reach the level of musical greatness that these people have long since reached. The tone and color of the overall piece is balanced so perfect between all instrument's parts, it brought me to tears.
-
Is this the real footage?!
-
Sounds terrible
-
I hope everyone knows that the orchestra actually switched instruments and used one they had never used just to have an entertaining concert
-
I can't stop laughing!
-
Love how noone is aware that this is when they switched instruments to see how well they played.
