As far as astronomical clocks ago, the Gdańsk astronomical clock, a 15th-century timepiece located at St. Mary’s Church in the ancient Polish port city of Gdańsk, pretty much has it all: the time and date; the positions of the sun and moon in relation to the zodiac; the phases of the moon; a calendar of saints; and the obligatory daily parade of tiny mechanical figurines — in this case, Adam, Eve, the apostles, the three kings and Death — that emerge from the top of hulking wooden structure each day at noon. (And all this in one of the largest brick churches in the world!) SOURCE: http://www.mnn.com/green-tech/gadgets-electronics/photos/astounding-astronomical-clocks/gdask-astronomical-clock-gdask-poland
